I have not tried to fit this charger in the Volt storage spot for the original charger but I guess that it will fit. The cord is black, not orange, something I prefer as my usage exposes the cord to neighbor's views and black hides the cord better. Charging a plug-in hybrid at home is not much different from charging your cell phone or laptop.
